Beginning a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ…

Today, I want to share the greatest news you will ever hear.

The Bible teaches that God created you because He loves you and desires a personal relationship with you. From the beginning, God's heart has always been to walk with His people. But sin has separated every one of us from God. Scripture tells us, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

The good news is that God did not leave us separated from Him.

Because of His great love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world. Jesus lived the perfect life we could never live, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead so that everyone who places their faith in Him can receive forgiveness, new life, and the promise of eternal life.

Even now, God's Holy Spirit is drawing you toward Him. You would not be seeking Him today unless He had already begun reaching out to you. His grace always comes before our response, inviting us to come home.

Receiving Christ begins with three simple responses:

First, repent. Be honest with God about your sin. Turn away from the life you have been living apart from Him and choose to follow Jesus.

Second, believe. Trust that Jesus Christ is God's Son, that He died for your sins, rose again, and is able to forgive you completely.

Third, surrender. Invite Jesus to become the Lord of your life. Salvation is not simply agreeing with facts about Jesus—it is placing your life into His hands and choosing to follow Him every day.

If this expresses the desire of your heart, you may pray something like this:

"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. Thank You for loving me and for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe You rose from the dead and are alive today. Please forgive me, make me new, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I turn away from my sin and choose to follow You as my Savior and Lord. Help me to love You, obey You, and become the person You created me to be. Thank You for receiving me as Your child. In Your holy name I pray. Amen."

If you have sincerely placed your trust in Jesus Christ today, God's Word promises that He has received you. This is not the end of your journey—it is the beginning of a new life.

Now take these next steps:

  • Read the Bible every day, beginning with the Gospel of Mark or the Gospel of John.

  • Pray honestly and regularly, speaking with God as your loving Father.

  • Become part of a faithful Bible-believing church where you can worship, grow, and serve.

  • Be baptized as a public declaration of your faith.

  • Share with someone that you have decided to follow Jesus.

Remember this wonderful promise:

"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come." — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Welcome to the family of God. Walk with Jesus daily, trust His grace, and allow the Holy Spirit to shape you into the likeness of Christ. This is the beginning of the greatest journey you will ever take
