Day 26- Goodness

Day 26 – Goodness

Scripture: Micah 6:8
"He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Devotion

The fire of God does more than stir our emotions—it transforms our character. One of the clearest signs of a Spirit-filled life is goodness. Biblical goodness is not simply being nice or avoiding wrongdoing. It is choosing what is right because it reflects the heart of God.

In Micah 6:8, God simplifies what He desires from His people: do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him. Goodness is lived out in everyday decisions. It is telling the truth when a lie would be easier. It is treating people fairly when no one is watching. It is extending mercy when others deserve judgment. It is choosing God's way over our own.

Jesus perfectly embodied goodness. Everywhere He went, He brought healing, compassion, truth, and grace. He consistently chose the Father's will, even when it led to the cross. As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect that same goodness in our homes, workplaces, churches, and communities.

The world often rewards compromise, but the Spirit calls us to integrity. Every act of obedience adds fuel to the fire of faith. Every choice to do what is right strengthens our witness. Goodness is not achieved through human effort alone; it is produced by the Holy Spirit working within us.

Today, ask God to make your life a reflection of His goodness.

Prayer

"Lord Jesus, lead me in the path of righteousness. Help me to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You. Give me the courage to choose integrity when it is difficult and to reflect Your goodness in all I do. Amen."

Serving

Choose integrity today. Make one decision that honors Christ, even if no one else will ever know. Let your goodness point someone to Jesus.

Reflection Question:
Where is God calling me to choose integrity and goodness today
