Day 11- Rivers

Scripture:
“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” — John 7:38

Devotion:
Jesus never intended for the Holy Spirit to be contained within us. The Spirit is not a stagnant pool to be stored away, but a living river designed to flow outward into the lives of others. Wherever God's Spirit moves, life follows. Dry hearts are refreshed, weary souls are strengthened, and hope begins to grow again.

Too often we focus on what God can do for us while forgetting what He desires to do through us. The Holy Spirit fills us with love so we can love others. He comforts us so we can comfort others. He forgives us so we can extend forgiveness. The river was never meant to stop with us.

When we remain connected to Christ, His life naturally overflows into our conversations, actions, generosity, and compassion. We become channels of His grace in a thirsty world. A simple word of encouragement, a prayer offered in faith, a listening ear, or an act of kindness can become part of God's river flowing into someone else's life.

Today, ask yourself: Is God's Spirit freely flowing through me, or have I built barriers that restrict His work? Open your heart afresh and allow His living water to move through you.

Prayer:
“Lord Jesus, let Your Spirit flow through me today. Make me a channel of Your love, grace, hope, and mercy. May others experience Your living water through my life. Amen.”

Serving:
Bless someone today with an unexpected act of kindness, encouragement, or generosity. Let God's river flow through you
