Day 12 – Presence

Scripture:
Exodus 33:14
“My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

Devotion:
One of the greatest promises in all of Scripture is not that God will remove every obstacle, answer every question, or eliminate every hardship. His greatest promise is His presence. When Moses faced the uncertainty of leading Israel through the wilderness, God did not first promise a map, a strategy, or an easier path. He promised Himself: “My presence shall go with thee.”

The Holy Spirit is God with us. We are never abandoned, forgotten, or left to navigate life alone. In moments of joy, He celebrates with us. In seasons of sorrow, He comforts us. In times of confusion, He guides us. The presence of God does not mean the absence of difficulty; it means we have divine companionship through every circumstance.

Many people spend their lives seeking relief from pain when what they truly need is the assurance that God is near. His presence brings peace that surpasses understanding and rest that reaches deep into the soul.

Today, remember that wherever you go, Christ goes with you. You do not carry your burdens alone. The Spirit walks beside you, strengthens you, and reminds you that you are loved beyond measure.

Prayer:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for Your promise to never leave me nor forsake me. Let me become more aware of Your presence today. Walk with me, guide me, and give me rest. Go with me wherever I go. Amen.”

Serving:
Be intentionally present with someone who is hurting today. Listen more than you speak, and let your presence reflect the loving presence of Christ
