Day 15- Prayer
Day 15 – Prayer
Scripture:
1 Thessalonians 5:17
"Pray without ceasing."
Devotion:
Prayer is the oxygen of the spiritual life and the fuel that keeps the fire of God burning within us. Just as a fire cannot survive without a continual source of air, our hearts cannot remain spiritually vibrant without ongoing conversation with God. Paul’s instruction to "pray without ceasing" does not mean we spend every moment with bowed heads and closed eyes. Rather, it is an invitation to live in continual awareness of God's presence, bringing every joy, burden, decision, and concern before Him.
The disciples walked with Jesus for years, yet their greatest request was not, "Teach us to preach" or "Teach us to perform miracles." Instead, they asked, "Lord, teach us to pray." They understood that prayer was the source of Jesus' strength, wisdom, and intimacy with the Father. The fire of Pentecost was preceded by a season of united prayer. Revival, renewal, and spiritual power have always been born in prayer.
Today, allow prayer to become more than a daily discipline. Let it become the rhythm of your life. Speak to God throughout the day. Listen for His voice. Rest in His presence. The fire of the Holy Spirit burns brightest in hearts that remain connected to God through prayer.
Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, teach me to pray. Draw me into deeper fellowship with You. Let prayer become the constant rhythm of my life, and keep the fire of Your Spirit burning brightly within me. Amen."
Serving:
Take time today to intentionally pray for someone by name. Let them know you prayed for them and ask how you can continue to lift them before the Lord
